Erode District is the major belt for spinning and garment industries where large number of migrant workers work under it. Since our motto is to create awareness among the workers READ reaches to Government Departments and Industries in approach of create awareness on the workers’ rights to promote safety, security and dignified workplace. Regular trainings and sensitization programs were conducted inside the industries to the migrant workers and through consultations approaching the Industries and government departments to promote and facilitate the migrant rights in the workplace like, payment according to Minimum Wage Act, PF & ESI, Bonus and other working conditions
Due to lack of representation of migrant workers in the committee established to address the grievances and to solve them. We are enforcing the industries to include interstate migrant workers in the committee to consider the representation of their mass.
