Welcome to READ
Rights Education And Development Centre (READ) is a registered, voluntary, secular, non-profit organization established in the year 2001, with the objective to create a Society where every person has the Right to Life and Dignity as guaranteed in the Indian Constitution. We, at READ, strive to achieve this objective by bringing socially & economically sustainable changes in the most marginalized communities of Tamil Nadu.READ adopts a community based approach towards sustainable change specifically for the Dalits, Tribes, Interstate Migrants and the most Marginalized Community. Works tirelessly to liberate the community from exploitation, poverty, child labour, bonded labour, textile workers and other human rights violations the community faces every day. And aim at improving the life of future generations by focusing on children, adolescent, youth, women and young workers in the community.
We strive to provide a conducive environment to migrants for their sustainable development by improving their quality of life and well-being, and to provide them with opportunities to become more productive assets of the society
